The activities started on Saturday, when the Block took part in a cleanup of Kensington Avenue, from Huntingdon Street to Cumberland Street.

On Tuesday night, the Block fed the homeless in the underground SEPTA station near 16th Street and JFK Boulevard. The menu included cake, salad, pasta, hot cocoa and water. The group will be back for more homeless feedings on selected Tuesdays in April, May and June.

The group will hold its 4 Blocks in 4 Weeks cleanups on April 6, 13, 20 and 27. The cleanups will take place on the 2000 block of E. Madison St., the 4100 block of Paul St., the 3500 block of Jasper St. and a block to be determined.

Other events include two Love Thy Park cleanups and a Father’s Day breakfast at Carmella Playground, 2100 Wakeling St.
